Protecting Your Home and Your Family
Keeping your house safe can mean many things – safeguarding your belongings, keeping your family safe from harm, and even protection from natural disasters. There are several main components to any home security monitoring system: the central controller, keypads and sensors. You can even expand your home security system by adding cameras.

Security Controller
The central controller is the brain of your home security system. It receives information from the various sensory devices, determines if there is an emergency and takes the necessary steps to protect your home.

Like a home, security controllers come in all shapes and sizes. You can choose an elaborate system to watch over several parts of the house (each area is called a “Zone”) or pick a simple security system to protect just one room – and there are systems for everything in between.

Once a central controller recognizes a potential problem in your home, it can do a number of designated tasks: call the authorities automatically, notify you by phone or pager, sound a siren, flash lights, just to name a few.

The great thing about all the home security systems in this section is that they are totally customizable to fit your specific needs; and each is expandable so you can add on in the future.

Keypads
You can access and control your home system through many ways but mostly through wall-mounted keypads. This allows you to easily arm, disarm, and monitor your security system – and even call for help directly from the keypad. Other access devices include handheld controllers and even keychain fob remotes.

Sensors
This is where you can really have fun with your home security system. Sensors monitor any and every part of your house: windows, doors, driveways, plumbing, air, weather, animals, garages, mailboxes, just about anything you can think of. Once the sensor is activated, it immediately notifies the central controller.

These devices can sense when a door is opened, a window is broke, and even when something gets rattled. You’ll know when someone is in your house and even get a warning when a car is driving up your driveway. There are detectors that not only monitor for smoke, but also carbon dioxide. Sensors can also protect against broken water tubes and faulty gas pipes. Sensors can be hardwired into your house or you can choose from several wireless options.

Surveillance & Security Cameras
Keep watch over your house when you are not even home with a comprehensive line of surveillance cameras and security monitoring systems.

Choose from a great selection of popular systems, including rugged outdoor systems, night-vision selections and even miniature cameras. Cameras that look like wall switches add simple discretion.

And if that wasn’t enough there are even more choices on how you watch the surveillance with several monitoring options. Can you imagine watching your home from a simple Internet connection? We even have a baby monitor that includes a camera.
